During a Right Now Media study of Philippians Jo Saxton posed a question “When you gave your life to Christ, did you invite Jesus into your world or did you surrender to Him”? I know Jesus is always with me but am I letting Him participate in every part of my life? This is something that I believe as a Christian we have to continually work on. Paul was such a great example for us.
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. - Philippians 1:21
What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. - Philippians 3:8
Jesus was all that mattered to Paul. Paul was arrested, imprisoned and suffered because of his beliefs and preaching about Christ. He remained fully surrendered to Christ through it all. During this pandemic there are many things to cause us to suffer, worry, fear and concern. What kept coming to mind during this time is that Jesus is all that matters. I am so thankful we have such an awesome God.
