Psalm 31:24 “Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord”
Isaiah 40:10-11 “ See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: he gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
In your life when you are struggling and dealing with a tough situation do you find yourself looking for a way out? Do you find yourself getting frustrated and feeling sorry for yourself? Do you feel like you don’t deserve to be dealt this hand? I certainly have found myself in circumstances where all of these feelings and actions have cropped up.
Do you know that God wants us, His children, to be brave and courageous? And that through Him we are capable of amazing strengthen and courage? My desk top devotional for today gave wisdom into this very predicament that we can find ourselves in.
My desktop devotional calendar says this: "When you are going through very tough times and there is no relief in sight, you usually start looking for a way out. These escapist longings stem from self-pity and a sense of entitlement: You think you deserve better conditions than your current situation. But when you think this way, you are ignoring My sovereignty over your life. Though your circumstances may indeed be painful and difficult, they are not worthless. So muster the courage to say yes to your life, trusting that I am in control and I am with you in your struggles."
This is such an amazing truth! We do not like it when things are not going our way, but we can be courageous and know that our Mighty Father is in control of our lives. Nothing we go through is worthless, and everything we go through we are not alone! I find tremendous comfort and strength in living this truth. Pray that God gives you the strength and courage for everything you face, and praise Him for using every situation to grow you and strengthen your faith and always staying by your side!
