You got “Cabin Fever” yet? Dumb question, right? I don’t care how introverted you might be, during this time I’m sure that all of us are feeling “cooped.” Mundane/routine things from the not so distant past that we took for granted have now reached almost daydream status! And the kicker…we’re not done yet.

So, without getting political or speculating if the “powers-that-be” are getting it right or not, it would appear that our new reality is going to go on at least for the immediate future. So how can we make sure we are going through all of this the best we can? How can we make sure we are fulfilling the “law of Christ” by carrying each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2) when we cannot even see each other?  

We are smart enough to know that we need each other during the best of times, so during times like this, I would argue that our relationships become even more vital.

Consider this:

Yes, this was some sort of advertisement for some sort of travel group, and no I’m not suggesting that we get together in physical groups! But what it clearly shows is that we are better together. Just because we have to be physically isolated doesn’t mean that we need to be emotionally, spiritually, humorously, or visually isolated as well. Reach out!

Regardless if you love or hate our current technology, it does allow us to still “do life together.” To get together for prayer, sharing and laughter – all things that we are in great need of during these strange days.  So here is my challenge for each of you…REACH OUT! SHOW UP! GET OVER THE AWKARDNESS AND LET US SEE YOUR “QUATENTINE HOUSE/FACE”!

Call someone today and see how they are doing. Zoon, Facetime, Skype, (pick your favorite video connection APP) and spend some time with a brother or sister! Maybe you don’t need it, what if they do???  It is time to “carry each other’s burdens”… so let’s get to it! Ask the good Lord to put someone on your heart that needs some connection and connect! Now let me lead by example…come join us for CLUB 212 tonight anytime between 7-9 pm.
